HR Essentials

Our HR Essentials service provides timely and practical support to our clients for their ‘people-related’ issues in the area of Employee Relations.

HR Essentials includes interim HR support for specific projects or on an ongoing basis. The support may be virtual (telephone and e-mail) or on-site.

The benefit of this service is simple; you can add an HR expert to your team under a monthly retainer or fee for service arrangement.

Virtual Support

The Virtual Support option includes:

  • Practical and prompt HR support including advice on challenging HR issues.

  • Access to templates covering employment activities for all stages of the employment relationship.

  • Coaching and mentoring for non-HR professionals on the fundamentals of HR.

  • Lunch n’ Learn customized training programs (conducted by conference call or e-training) on a variety of topics including Performance Management, Progressive Discipline, Harassment and Human Rights, Recruitment and Selection, Effective Communication,Workplace Privacy, Conflict Resolution, Work Life Balance, etc.

  • Review of Company policies and templates including Employment Letters, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreements, Employee Handbook, etc.

  • Legal services relating to Employment and Labour law are available under a separate retainer agreement and at an additional cost.

 

On-Site Support

The On-Site Support option includes the Virtual Support services, and the additional services outlined below:

  • Face-to-face HR support on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on the option selected.

  • A thorough Employee Relations audit that reviews all aspects of your work environment and incorporates action plans identified in the audit.

  • Review and/or develop Company policies including Employment letters, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Non-Compete agreements, Employee Handbook,Managers Guide, etc.

  • Lunch n’ Learn, half day or full day customized training programs delivered in person on a variety of topics including Performance Management, Progressive Discipline, Harassment and Human Rights, Recruitment and Selection, Effective Communication, Workplace Privacy, Conflict Resolution, Work Life Balance, etc.

  • Provide support with the design of new HR processes, or review existing HR processes including:HR Strategic Plan, Recruitment and Retention strategy, Job Descriptions and Standards of Performance, Performance Review and Talent Management processes, Compensation and Benefits strategy, etc.
